About

Paul Lubo · Des Plaines, IL

I have spent more than seventeen years in the lecture hall, teaching psychology and studying how students actually learn it.

My research sits where cognitive psychology meets teaching practice: attention, memory and reasoning on one side, course design and classroom method on the other. Two monographs and more than fifteen peer-reviewed articles have come out of that work.

I hold a Candidate of Psychological Sciences degree — the equivalent of a U.S. Ph.D. — and the academic rank of Docent, conferred for sustained university teaching and scholarship.

I now live in the Chicago area and am looking for adjunct, lecturer or visiting professor appointments in psychology at U.S. institutions. I am comfortable teaching introductory surveys and upper-level cognitive courses alike, on campus or online.
